Jimmy graduated from the dental assisting program of Northern Virginia Community College in 2012. During his time as a student, he interned for Dr. Rick Jackomis and transitioned to a full-time position in the office upon graduation.
Since joining the team, Jimmy has had an ever-expanding role in the office. He initially started as a chairside assistant and laboratory technician. He discovered his love of photography, and he added office photographer to his duties and responsibilities. His next role was to assume front desk administration, a role he has been serving for over a year and a half.
Many people have gotten to know him in this capacity as he has managed their scheduling, insurance, and finances. His next transition is ongoing and it is into a wider business management role. Jimmy enjoys new challenges and looks for ways to improve his knowledge base — traits that have made him an essential member of “Team Jackomis.” He attends continuing education events to learn new technology, procedures, and techniques. He also uses his bilingual background to facilitate treatment for our Hispanic patients. His greatest satisfaction is interacting with patients to show them the differences in their smiles before and after treatment.
Outside of the office, Jimmy focuses on his family, is active with his church, and participates in numerous sports. He feels most relaxed and at ease while traveling with his wife as they discover new areas of the U.S. and countries abroad.
Elsee spent most of her life in the Manassas area. In 2014, she began her career in dentistry and earned an associate degree in applied sciences from ECPI Manassas Campus. Elsee wants to continue her education in the field of public health. Working one-on-one with people is a satisfying and rewarding career choice that allows her to provide service.
Elsee began to work for Dr. Rick Jackomis, DDS, in 2016 and is learning to excel beyond her chairside skills to include sterilization and inventory management. She contributes to the practice by being active and willing to aid her co-workers and learning challenging new skills. Her favorite part of the day is interacting with patients who may be anxious and using her calm demeanor to put them at ease.
During her free time, Elsee enjoys outdoor life by hiking and kayaking in the Shenandoah National Park. She comes from a large family that is spread out over the U.S. This is very convenient when traveling because she can spend time with her relatives. Elsee gives back to her community by leading the children’s ministry of her church and volunteering at many charity functions for helping children.
